Morro Bay, California
There are also several dog friendly wineries and tasting rooms in Morro Bay and Paso Robles. There really isn't much you can't do with your dog is the beautiful part of California's Central Coast. I would allow a minimum of 3 days and even a week can easily filled between Los Osos up to Cambria and San Simeon.

Morro Bay's Strand Beach is dog friendly, and I saw many happy off-leash pups prancing in the waves when we visited.  The beach is long and flat.

After the beach there are many dog friendly restaurants to choose from.  Our favorite for breakfast or brunch is the Back Bay Cafe.  All seating is at a dog friedly outdoor patio and you order from the counter, but the food is first rate, and it has a view of the water.  This cafe is actually located in Baywood Park-Los Osos, but it is still on Morro Bay.

We also enjoyed hiking on leash with our dogs at Sweet Springs Nature Preserve in Los Osos.  It's a just a few minutes from the Back Bay Cafe.  It is a great place for birding, painting or just strolling with your dogs.

If you prefer a more strenuous hike (moderate) try the Cerro Alto Peak Trail.  It's a dog friendly trail, and it has great views of the bay. The hike to the summit of Cerro Alto gains 1600 ft over 2 miles for a 4 mile out and back trip. There is a less steep variation that tacks on some extra distance, but we took the more direct route. The trail head can be reached at the end of Cerro Alto Road, which is the road for the Cerro Alto Campground as well. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the parking lot for the trailhead from Morro Bay.

A great place to say with your dog is the Back Bay Inn.  They have 2 dog friendly rooms and the cafe is dog friendly too.  Another fun place to stay with your furry friends is the Morro Bay Beach Bungalow.
